The Treatment Process Hub are a team of motivated, engaged, friendly Process Scientists with a talent for data analysis. We use these skills on a daily basis to drive improvement and inform science-based decisions for the water, wastewater and engineering functions of the business. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a fast paced, cross functional team this could be the role for you.
This role will entail working within a multi-disciplinary team of process experts to enable proactive working through better information and insights, for the geographical field Process Scientists.
You will improve understanding of works’ performance metrics and identify risks to prevent performance deterioration, as well as spotting opportunities for optimisation and process improvement, sharing knowledge and insight gained with the ultimate aim to improve regulatory compliance, helping to drive a change from reactive to proactive working for all.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
The key accountabilities of this role will include:
- Managing performance data, using new systems to streamline the reporting process. Similarly, you will understand and get the best out of other new, innovative methods of data gathering and analysis as they come into the business.
- Whilst the Waste & Water Treatment team works reactively on issues and incidents, You will capture and share lessons learnt. You will anticipate and seek to find issues that have the potential to cause deterioration in process performance, investigate and present your findings, gaining buy in from stakeholders to influence improvements.
- As a Hub team member, you will be responsible for owning centralised activities to ensure consistency across Treatment Process and strive to develop a more proactive approach to compliance.
- Drive change in the business based on Treatment Processes. You will be an ambassador for the Treatment Process Hub.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity, and a caring attitude in equal weight.
Apart from being a great fit for the team you’ll ideally have extensive experience in technical/process knowledge on Water or WasteTreatment. Great time management skills and excellent analytical skills using various IT skills (eg Word, Excel, SAP, Cognos, QUIS, ESCADA, Minitab) along with interpersonal and communication skills.
As this role requires travel, you must hold a full UK Driving License. This role is predominantly office based with some travel to sites and other offices expected. It covers both Severn Trent and Hafren Dyfrdwy.
