Working within our Waste Water Recycling team, you have the chance to join as a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter.

 

You’ll carrying out planned and breakdown maintenance on a wide range of mechanical wastewater assets. The role holder will work at our Stourbridge sites and cover Customer operational areas. You will also be provided with a vehicle, laptop and safety clothing appropriate to the job.

 

To support the companies drive to improve safe standards, any additional training that you require will be provided by the STW academy and external trainers. There is also opportunity to multi-skill into an electrical qualification with us.

 

With great working hours (Monday - Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3pm) the successful candidate will participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota every 8 weeks, subject to availability.

In this role you’ll help with preventive maintenance working techniques and practices and be able to bring significant experience of working with industrial equipment (mechanical drives, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, pumps). You’ll undertake fault diagnostics and have the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.  You’ll be expected to know how to work with process control systems and have a working knowledge of industrial electrical installation requirements and standards.  In Severn Trent we use a number of different devices on the job so your experience working with various IT systems will be great.

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

To be a success in this role, along with your experience we will be looking for you to have obtained a NVQ level 3 mechanical qualification and also have completed a relevant apprenticeship to help you in the role. A full UK driving licence will be required for the role.
