EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Water Fittings Regulations team have an opportunity for you to join as our new Plumbing Inspector.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dedicated team inspecting 3rd party plumbing systems to prevent the waste, misuse, erroneous measurement, undue consumption, and contamination of the drinking water supply.
As the Regulator, you will play an essential part in helping the company to engage directly with the owner/occupiers of premises regarding poor plumbing practices whilst ensuring compliance with the Water Fittings Regulations are met. The significance of the work you will carry out as a plumbing inspector makes this role such an exciting and unique opportunity.
Are you someone with experience in the Water, Engineering or Construction industry?
Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
- You’ll be responsible for overseeing work planned for you within a geographical area.
- Contacting 3rd party premises to arrange both proactive and reactive plumbing inspections to ensure their plumbing system(s) comply with the Regulations. The types of premises you will inspect can vary day-to-day from Household to Non-household properties.
- You’ll also be required to use a variety of Microsoft applications and bespoke IT reporting systems.
- The role holder will be located in the Wolverhampton/Birmingham regions.
As well as having the appropriate knowledge and skills to carry out the physical aspect of the role, you will also be required to use a variety of Microsoft applications and bespoke IT reporting systems.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re seeking our new Plumbing Inspector to be comfortable being able to clearly communicate with people through effective verbal and written methods is essential as well as having the ability to accurately articulate and record information in a reliable, accurate and complete manner.
To be successful, it’s expected you’ll have a basic knowledge and understanding of plumbing systems as well as experience in working with the general public to help continue delivering great customer service.
As travel is involved with the role it is essential you hold a full driving licence.
