We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Severn Trent Team as a Security Systems Specialist.


The Security of our sites and assets is critical to the Company and also to the national infrastructure of the country, over £50m of investment has been delivered on security on critical sites across the company which we are required by law to maintain and control. Our aim is to ensure wholesome water is available for customers as well as protecting staff and assets.

Your key accountabilities in helping us on our journey will be: 


  • Proactively administering and configuring a wide variety of systems used for security monitoring and control.
  • Identifying issues that arise, seeking root cause, collaborating with internal technology teams and external contractors to ensure swift resolution.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external.
  • Drive tangible improvement, exploring innovation, problem solving and establishing future systems roadmap and development areas.
  • Maximising the effective use of security systems and champion change.
  • Working to promote the importance of security across the business.

To do this role at its best, you’ll need to have experience of problem solving and have a good understanding of the wider security systems which we use. If you have some experience in using technology systems – this would be brilliant!
