We have an opportunity for you to join our team as a Commercial Finance Business Partner based at our head office in Coventry.


In this commercial finance role which is critical to driving the financial performance of our Retail business. Responsible for opex and capital expenditure, this role requires strong commercial drive and acumen, and the ability to support critical business decision making with brilliant multi-dimensional insight. You will drive an outperformance culture through delivering sustainable cost reduction opportunities and holding the operational teams to account for their financial performance.

Key Accountabilities:


  • Challenging departmental budgets and forecasts to ensure credibility and deliverability, challenge of existing practices and identification of opportunities to improve performance and drive efficiencies.
  • Operating as the Commercial Business Partner for Retail and a key member of the Customer Leadership team, partnering the Operational Strategic Leaders for Customer Delivery and Customer Performance. 
  • Offer accurate, timely analysis and insight against targets on outputs and finances.
  • Accountability for challenging and driving action where performance is off track.
  • Creating and motivating a team who have the skills, experience, and drive to support the business area, and enable critical, value-based decision-making.
  • Provide the Head of Operations Finance and Customer Strategic Leaders with clear, well thought through insight in helping to shape the broader financial and operational strategy.




To be considered for this role, you must be fully qualified - ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.

Experience of working in a fast-paced, highly commercial and competitive environment would be required for the role.


Having exposure to senior stakeholder management and being adept in influencing at all levels of a business is essential.
