EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This is more than a job – it’s a mission-critical position where you’ll take charge of a portfolio of Security & Resilience contracts, ensuring alignment with our ambitious goals, statutory requirements , and maximising value delivery. You’ll be the go-to expert for all things contractual, collaborating with teams across the organisation, influencing stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement.
As a security Contract Manager, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of supplier performance, foster innovation, and lead initiatives that will protect and create value for Severn Trent as well as building cost plans and influencing future investment and strategic direction.
You’ll take ownership of an exciting and varied portfolio of responsibilities, including:
- Strategic security Contract Management: Acting as the key contact for stakeholders, you’ll oversee contract performance, compliance, and cost management.
- Driving Value Creation: Proactively identify opportunities for efficiencies, reduce contract leakage, and recover value.
- Commercial Expertise: Champion best-practice contract management to protect and enhance Severn Trent’s commercial success.
- Performance and Risk Monitoring: Ensure contract progress aligns with expectations, mitigate risks, and report performance using scorecards and key metrics.
- Supplier Innovation & Relationships: Building strong partnerships with suppliers, fostering continuous improvement and aligning their capabilities with Severn Trent’s goals, including sustainability commitments.
- Demobilisation and Onboarding: Manage seamless transitions during contract award and expiry, ensuring business continuity.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’re looking for a results-driven, self-starting professional with excellent negotiation skills to deliver value and drive outcomes. Confident communication is essential to influence stakeholders, alongside strong analytical abilities to turn data into actionable insights.
You’ll need technical confidence to adapt to bespoke systems and the initiative to work independently, solving problems and meeting deadlines. A passion for continuous improvement is key, as is the ability to lead change effectively.
Experience in a regulated procurement environment is a plus but not essential – what matters most is your expertise and commitment to success.
