Contract Manager

 

 

Our Procurement and Contract Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to manage a portfolio of contracts within the Facilities Management and Property Space.

These are key contracts within the business and the successful applicant will have the chance to shape and develop the contract management approach of the portfolio to maximise value and ensure consistent delivery.

 

If you’re experienced with managing contracts, great at negotiating, have the ability to build solid working relationships and have strong commercial awareness then this role could be for you!

 

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

Managing a small established team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of our most strategic facilities contracts, working closely alongside the property team.

Leading your team, you will ensure that all changes to the contracts are carefully negotiated and accurately recorded, payment processes are all being followed correctly, and contracts are performing as per KPI’s. You will also be responsible for maintaining the contractor relationship at a senior level, coordinating and participating in regular strategic review sessions.

 

Some of your key accountabilities in this role will be:

 

  • Manage and develop Contracts Team, providing leadership and undertaking individual performance reviews, team meetings and 1-2-1s
  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of contracts effectively
  • Providing contract support to both STW and contract staff, on contract mechanisms, incentive mechanisms, payment and authorisation processes.
  • Develop and implement the strategic direction for supplier performance, terms compliance and cost management working with managers at Severn Trent
  • Produce monthly contract position statements – volumes, KPI performance, payments
  • Complete annual audits of staff working on contracts, ensuring that all contract audits are completed, and corrective actions monitored/completed

  • Ensure CSR policy is complied with and that the expectations of Severn Trent are understood.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

You will be an experienced Contract Manager, ideally with experience in different forms of contracts. You will have strong negotiating and analytical skills. Line management experience is a bonus but not essential.  

 

Professional qualifications like CIPS/MRICS/IACCM are not required but may be beneficial.
