Our Procurement and Contract Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Contract Specialist to look after our Technology contracts which are pivotal to the delivery of safe, clean drinking Water to millions of people across the Midlands every day.

 

The contract supports our Technology team and ensures the safe, effective and efficient delivery of Technology goods and Services to ensure we get what we need, when we need it at the right place and the right cost to ensure operational continuity.

Working as part of our programme team, you will be involved in embedding contracts and supplier relationship management, identifying and creating value through regular performance reviews and the management of contract MI, SLA and KPI measures.

 

Some of your key accountabilities in this role will be:

 

  • To drive continuous improvement in Technology contracts thought the identification and implementation of improvement activities across safety, cost, sustainability, and innovation
  • To build good working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • To effectively manage supply chain risk to protect the business
  • To support the Procurement Senior Category Manager in the development and delivery of procurement strategies and sourcing events to create a sustainable, safe, efficient, and effective supply chain
  • To promote STW’s sustainability and carbon reduction ambitions across our supply chain
  • To support requests for information and actively engage with external stakeholders as required (UK Water Companies / Water UK / DWI / EA / OFWAT)

 

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

 

You’ll join the team with provable experience in analytics and you will have a good grasp of working with data. Alongside this you’ll have a sound understanding of the processes involved in contract management and Procurement.

 

The cherry on top? You’ll have a good knowledge of contract principles, have the ability to bring teams together to work collaboratively and have a good level of Contract Management/Procurement experience. 

 

Professional qualifications like CIPS are not required but may be beneficial.  

 

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
