We are really excited to be sharing the role of Debt, Data & Strategy Lead with the primary responsibility for owning and developing strategies for long term debt and data utilisation.
This role will report directly to the Head of Customer Performance and can be based out of either of our offices in Coventry or Shrewsbury, with regular travel required between the two.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Debt, Data & Strategy Lead role is pivotal within Severn Trent, and requires an individual with the skills and gravitas to successfully operate with confidence at senior level across the Severn Trent group. You will have the exciting opportunity to lead, develop and deliver our debt and data strategies to best support wider company objectives with a key focus on debt and revenue performance.
In this role you will drive the shift form our Data production and monitoring approach to a data science insight and predictions approach. Critical areas of focus will be debt and revenue performance – alongside the critical performance areas which drive outcome delivery incentives.
You will own and drive the Customer Performance forecasting processes; develop relevant goals and metrics to drive improved business outcomes and track performance to ensure delivery and proactively manage risks.
In our role of Debt, Data & Strategy Lead you will work collaboratively with finance, strategy, service (across the value chain) and transformation to ensure that value mechanics, metrics and objectives are understood by senior stakeholders whilst ensuring the customer remains at the heart of Severn Trent objectives.
The role won’t stop there, continuous improvement will be key to ensure the debt services we provide are best in class.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
As our Debt, Data & Strategy Lead you will need strong influencing and stakeholder management skills alongside a proven track record of successfully managing both internal and external stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
You will bring your sound knowledge of the utilities industry and regulatory requirements, with an appreciation of the customer, cash collections and management of debt risk and exposure.
We are looking for someone with a commercial or finance background that can demonstrate strong analytical experience, including data modelling and forecasting.
