EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  

Here at Severn Trent, we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to ensure our business is run as efficiently as possibly for our customers and communities, so therefore as our Group Cost Transformation Lead. You’ll partner with our Executive Committee members to initiate and support the delivery of cost saving  targets across the company. 

 

The role is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of companywide cost transformation projects from inception through to embedding savings into official budgets. The aim of this role is to ensure that identified opportunities are deliverable, sustainable and desirable. You’ll be supported by a business analyst who will support with data analytics, target operating model assessments and research.

 

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

 

  • Managing opportunities from identification, inception, solution design and implementation; to ultimately deliver significant additional value to Severn Trent through cost reduction or income generation.
  • Influencing the Severn Trent Executive Committee to achieve project investment sign off.
  • Supporting projects through to delivery phase, ensuring that savings are embedded within official budgets and forecasts.
  • Presenting quality analysis and persuading people at all levels that change is achievable and will create operational and financial benefits for the business and our customers.
  • Ensuring benefits realisation is captured within the Group financials, securing sustainable, deliverable cost saving opportunities both in-year and long-term.
  • Providing thought leadership on performance improvement, cost management and transformation across the business.
  • Owning the relationship with other support services such as HR, IS and Transformation to ensure the delivery of benefits within the organisation.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

To be considered for this role, we’re looking for experience working with business leaders to assess and remodel departmental target operating models. The successful candidate will have proven ability to produce consultant quality analysis and present recommendations that will influence at the executive level. Knowledge of commercial and operational analysis, requirements gathering, GAP analysis would be beneficial.
