EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are looking for you to come and work within our Group FP&A team to deliver as our new Lead Accountant. In this high-profile role, you will be charged with providing High quality and insightful financial reporting and analysis to support Board, Executive committee and business decision making. We will be looking for you to lead on the Interim and year-end reporting and analysis and also provide your knowledge and experience to support the business planning and budgeting process to ensure that our budgets are underpinned and deliverable
We’ll be looking for you to be a knowledgeable, trusted and challenging financial advisor to stakeholders across all business areas but also be that assured figure who will be a leader in their field.
This is a wide ranging role with a number of important duties, these are a few:-
- Key role in the co-ordination of monthly financial and performance reporting to Executive and Board for the Group to highlight key issues against budget/forecast and actions in place to address.
- Review, challenge and summarise business unit returns covering operations, strategy, treasury, and investor relations and complete risks and opportunities analysis against forecast submissions.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with colleagues in Finance (Treasury, Group finance, Business Partners and analysts), Performance and Planning, Strategy and Regulation and Business Services, in order to act as a knowledgeable, trusted and challenging advisor.
- Develop and maintain tools to effectively monitor and report on the performance of STW and Business Services entities and enhance focus on underlying driver’s not simply financial outcomes.
- Key role in the co-ordination of annual budget, reforecasting and supporting the long range planning processes including drafting recommendations to Executive and Board.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
We will look for you to be a qualified accountant or have extensive financial planning experience, along with Experience of working as part of a team and individually to meet tight deadlines. It will also be great if you have experience using Tagetik, SAP ECC and SAP BW and a knowledge of Water industry regulatory framework but these are not essential.
