EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Tax Manager to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract
As the Group Tax Manager you will manage, coach and develop a team of 5 direct reports. This role involves advising on tax aspects of Group restructuring, M&A, financing, pension funding, and new business ventures.
You will ensure the Group maximises tax reliefs and opportunities, oversee tax governance, and manage tax reporting and compliance programs
Further responsibilities include:
- Reviewing Corporation Tax Returns and ensuring timely submission to HMRC.
- Providing VAT guidance and overseeing the monthly VAT return process.
- Leading relationships with OFWAT and HMRC on tax matters.
- Managing external adviser relationships and key internal stakeholders.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
You will be a Qualified Chartered Accountant or Chartered Tax Adviser, with significant experience in various taxation issues, a proven track record in tax leadership, and a history of developing high-performing teams
You will also have demonstrable experience providing business advice to Finance and non-Finance colleagues, have the ability to manage and prioritise multiple stakeholder demands and have the expertise to think commercially to add value to the wider organisation
