We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our ambitious Academy team as a Learning & Development Consultant, where you’ll play a vital role in helping us grow our talent and ensure that we have a competent operational workforce!

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

We’re on the lookout for someone who can spot skill gaps and future development opportunities at all levels, and craft cost-effective training solutions. You’ll create high-quality training pathways and deliver sessions to ensure our operational teams are technically proficient and confident. This involves working closely with operations, leveraging existing relationships, and designing practical training and assessments across Severn Trent sites.

 

You’ll collaborate with line managers, Communities of Practice and mentors to support operational technical learning through competency assessments and bespoke delivery. Your role will include evaluating training effectiveness and exploring new solutions to effectively embed learning with operational teams. Strong communication skills are a must, as you’ll be managing relationships with internal and external resources, awarding bodies, and suppliers.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
 

We're looking for someone who has experience managing assets, sites, or processes within Waste Water Recycling or Bioresource treatment.

 

You’ll need a passion for delivering an exceptional learner experience and the motivation to make it happen. Your positive and empathetic approach will build learner confidence and competence, and help you to influence teams and individuals.

 

You’ll also need initiative and creativity to achieve the best outcomes for learners, along with strong teamwork skills for knowledge sharing and support. Working well under pressure, you’ll remain patient, calm, and self-controlled, with the independence to manage your time and tasks effectively.
