EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re currently looking for a Network Architect to join our growing architecture function to work holistically across our Technology business. We’ll be looking for you to proactively lead and support our architecture activities, that will guide the development and management of the network technical and infrastructure solutions we have.
In this exciting role, you will be dealing with solutions which will enable Severn Trent’s future-state business capabilities and drive targeted business outcomes. You will immerse yourself in technologies such as cloud, data centre, infrastructure, mobile, AI, operational technology (OT), Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), blockchain, edge computing and immersive experiences technologies.
Key accountabilities in the role will include:-
- Definition and shaping of workable solutions to meet desired business outcome alongside moving forward Severn Trent’s architecture direction.
- Proactively and holistically supporting wider architecture activities that guide the development and management of solutions.
- Adherence to governance policies surrounding architecture with a degree of autonomy as defined for the role.
- Creation of deliverables that describe the architecture decisions and essence of solutions.
- Providing support for our Architecture practice and IS change agenda through deliverables including knowledge articles, maintenance of key architectural documents and change recommendations to guardrails.
- Act as a consultant on the area of specialism.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To succeed in this role, we’ll be looking for you to have previous experience operating as an architect with demonstrable expertise of a subject domain such as Technical, Infrastructure, Data Modeller, Security, Integration, Network, Functional, Software Development. We’ll also want you to be experienced in working in various delivery methodologies including an Agile/SAFe environment.
You will have experience in IT including working with third parties to deliver outcomes, as well as experience of defining and shaping solutions. Having digital credentials and an ability to demonstrate multiple examples of delivery to a digital agenda will be highly desirable.
