EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

We have an exciting opportunity within our Customer Operations department to become a Network Gang Operative!

 

Working in this role, you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of Severn Trent’s underground water network. This includes inspecting, improving, and repairing our assets to ensure a continuous supply of potable water to our customers through our infrastructure.

 

The role of a Network Gang Operative involves providing effective installation, repair, and maintenance services on the company’s infrastructure assets, such as pipes and ancillary fittings. They respond to and resolve issues raised by customers or the public, liaise with other departments, and work with our Contract Partners to deliver these services efficiently. 

 

Apart of this role you will also be responsible for the delivery of work scheduled to customers in accordance with the Companies service level agreements or customer service standards and you will be required to perform the duties of the role in compliance with statutory or regulatory standards. With this you will deliver excellent customer service in accordance with the Companies policies and standards with an aim to deliver the job right first time.

 

Please be aware a full UK driving License is require for this role. You will also be required to work a 42.5 hour week. And you will be part of a standby rota (1 in 6).

 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

  

We are seeking an individual who has previous experience of working within utilities  and has the ability to react quickly delivery solutions to problems where repairs are carried out. Previous experience of working in customer focused roles is desirable where you’re able to communicate effectively, this is vital for being able to explain complicated technical messages in a simple way.

 

Being physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in all weathers is vital due to the nature of the role. If you have the ability to work well as part of a team but also alone using own initiative, then this may be the role for you!
