EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Severn Trent are looking for our next Partner Assurance Manager. In This bespoke role, working closely with the Technology group commercial team, we will be looking for you to help the Severn Trent Technology business assure maximum value is gained from our 3rd party spend. We look to do this through the implementation and management of a robust framework for contract renewals, managing 3rd parties and fostering a partnership approach.
We’ll look for you to work with a wide number of stakeholders across the business, as well as 3rd party suppliers & partners and account teams. You’ll provide us with a solid governance approach to give assurance to our 3rd party contracts and what they deliver against agreed contractual performance levels.
The key accountabilities for the role include:-
- Responsible for ongoing performance management of suppliers to ensure that maximum value for money is achieved from each contract
- Responsible for creation and maintenance of supplier segmentation model, assuring that all suppliers are assigned into the model and have appropriate management process in place.
- Responsible for aligning the organisation's supplier performance objectives and activities with sourcing strategies and plans, balancing costs, efficiencies and service quality (in conjunction with the group commercial technology business partner and team)
- Central point of focus within the technology team, working with the group commercial team to drive contract renewal plan and process – ensuring that the right individuals are involved (from within Technology Department) to define requirements for new or renewing contracts and that new contracts are arranged within agreed budget. This may include negotiation with 3rd parties to drive cost efficiencies.
- Understanding approx. 300 3rd parties and contract cost drivers to present opportunities, strategies, and levers to maximise effectiveness in negotiations and reduction in cost
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
We’ll be looking for you to ideally have a proven background in working with 3rd party contracts, both defining requirements and managing their performance. Experience in reviewing and defining contracts to ensure they met the needs of the business, and adhere to any regulatory requirements or controls set out by our commercial teams.
In the role, we’ll look for you to be Effective, versatile, and action-oriented, with a focus on customer experience as well as a proactive self-starter with a ‘just do it’ mind set and a ‘right first time’ mentality, able to work on own initiative. We’ll also look for you to have strong leadership, with an ability to coach and mentor team members and create an engaging environment for individuals to flourish.
