With that in mind, we are looking for a Performance and Analytics Specialist
to join our Chief Engineer team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing complex yet user-friendly reporting suites on a weekly and monthly basis. You will act as a Performance Business Partner to your respective Business Lead, driving continuous improvement activities and supporting performance improvement across various measures.
- Develop and review comprehensive reporting suites and Manage team databases to ensure timely data and information flow.
- Act as a Performance Business Partner, driving continuous improvement.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly performance improvement meetings.
- Create pragmatic, accessible management information for non-specialist colleagues as well as embed and enhance performance metrics across HSSR.
- Build Power BI and Excel dashboards for data reporting as well as ensure the collection, collation, and availability of performance information.
- Analyse performance data to derive meaningful insights for informed decision-making and maintain the quality, accuracy, and assurance of performance information.
- Support Severn Trent Group’s vision of ensuring no one gets hurt or made unwell by our activities as well as developing short, medium, and long-term plans and metrics for Process and Occupational Safety performance.
- Evaluate data accuracy and completeness, implementing processes to improve data quality.
- Provide accurate, timely, and complete reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a key contact for performance information users, supporting report usage and information requests.
- Collaborate with the Statutory Compliance and finance teams to manage the HSSR budget effectively.
WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU
To succeed in this role, you should have expert experience with Power BI, Excel, Microsoft Office, and other IT packages, demonstrating how these tools can improve efficiencies in report production.
Proven experience in data analysis/processing and producing management information is essential, along with experience in preparing data and reports for various audiences.
You should be able to demonstrate successful delivery of business information and have experience working in a process improvement and/or analytical environment. While a basic understanding of Health and Safety, Contract Management, and good practices is desirable, it is not essential.
You should be a strong team player with excellent networking skills, capable of working within a team and building strong relationships with key stakeholders. Advanced Excel and data analytics skills are crucial, as is the ability to think innovatively and try new approaches. You should be able to work at pace, accessing necessary resources to drive change, and possess general commercial and financial knowledge.
A proactive attitude, driving tasks to closure rather than waiting for them to complete by themselves, is necessary. Understanding Safer, Better, Faster principles or performance improvement will be beneficial.
