Project Manager

Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.

Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.

Which is why we are investing over £2billion into construction projects over the next five years to improve the services we provide.

Within our Capital Design and Delivery department, we are looking for a Project Manager to join the Water Treatment Borehole team.

Are you an ambitious individual with passion, enthusiasm, curiosity and high energy with a technical background and looking for new and exciting projects to manage?

Do you want to play a key role in a team who has the ambition to become a world class leader in delivering borehole works?

Well, if you are, read on.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

Based in one of our Capital and Commercial Services offices (Finham, Raynesway or Shelton) and reporting directly to the Borehole Design Manager, the Project Manager will be working alongside project engineers, project coordinators, design engineers and senior hydrogeologist. He will be responsible for the delivery of the borehole programme, managing multiple capital engineering and construction schemes through design and delivery stages.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Ideally either degree qualified in a technical engineering discipline or a qualified Project Manager with the APM (Association of Project Managers) or working towards completing these achievements. You will be a forward thinking and innovative project manager capable of managing multiple capital engineering and construction works. You will have experience of managing NEC projects, with a proven track record of cost planning and management and budgetary responsibility.

You will be a dynamic and collaborative leader with excellent communication and influencing skills. You will have a strong ability to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders from a diverse range of backgrounds, and hold a relentless drive for continuous improvement, with the ability to innovate and anticipate unexpected issues and challenges as they arise.

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.

We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.

And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups – LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.

We do more, because we care.
