Quality Manager

 

Hello, we’re Severn Trent Services a commercial arm of the Severn Trent Group. We provide water and waste services to companies nationwide, including the MoD and The Coal Authority.

Which is why we are looking for a new Quality Manager to join our Water Services Contracts business unit.

 

 

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW 

 

Our Quality Manager role forms a key overview role for assurance and compliance across STS diverse range of commercial business activities. The role is responsible for ensuring consistent and high standards of compliance with Severn Trent Group Policies, Contract Obligations, Business Requirements, and legislation – In all STS business areas.

 

You’ll also be responsible for compliance with ST Group Policies, Risk Management reporting to ST Group, Quality Management system and accreditations, MOD security compliance, while reporting and analysis for STS’s Managing Director and Senior Management team.

 

Security is a critical aspect of our contract with the MoD.  Working with the Business & Security Administrator, the role requires regular liaison with Senior MoD staff and provide guidance to STS and supplier staff on security issues and concerns.  Certain aspects of this role involve dealing with personal, confidential and sensitive information in order to conduct investigations, the role holder must be a trusted confidante to Senior staff in Severn Trent and customer organisations.

 

Some of your key accountabilities will be: 

 

  • Ensure and demonstrate Company compliance with all appropriate ST Group Policies, MoD Policies and Security Procedures with frequent reviews.
     
  • Develop and maintain robust management systems and processes to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 and retain continuous external accreditation with BSi.
     
  • Meet with all STS Operations UK business units on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment of company-wide policies and strategies.
     
  • Establish formal communication routes with MoD and STS to ensure two way communication on all Security matters.  Proactively determine and implement timely communication with all staff in STS, suppliers, MoD and New Clients secured through STS’s Growth Strategy.
     
  • Work directly with all STS business units to produce a coordinated approach to ST Plc requirements including determining reporting criteria and ensure appropriate implementation.
     
  • To be the lead interface with the ST Group assurance teams and undertake routine internal audits of established processes.
     
  • Ensure that staff in all parts of STS are trained and fully aware of relevant issues including Competition Law, RAG5 requirements for working with regulated Water Sector companies, Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption legislation, Modern Slavery prevention and Corporate Social responsibility (CSR)
     

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

To be successful in this role you’ll have experience of proactively developing and maintaining a risk management system for a geographically diverse and growing business. Detailed working knowledge of asset operations and maintenance, commercial business principles and an ability to identify and deliver efficiency and risk management opportunities across the business portfolio.

 

Additionally, you’ll have the ability to appropriately challenge senior staff if information is not forthcoming or provided on time and undertake formal compliance audits of STS and Supplier teams and organisation.

 

A full U.K driving licence will also be required.

 

The role holder will need to be able to secure and retain full MoD (SC) security clearance.
