EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

The primary objective of this role is to maximise operating profit within the MOD Project Aquatrine – Package C Contract. This involves undertaking detailed analysis of water and waste charges, schemes of charges, MOD consumption volumes, flow and pressure data, and STS operating costs. The goal is to minimise costs and maximise legitimate consumption.

 

Additionally, prioritising improvement strategies is crucial to ensure that the most cost-beneficial activities and customer-benefiting schemes take the highest priority.

 

Some of the other accountabilities:

 

  • Offset increases in Distribution Losses through targeted campaigns and field interventions where cost beneficial.

 

  • Optimise internal processes and site configuration using bill tariffs and charging regimes, exploiting SU/Retailer schemes, and negotiating for better tariffs and refunds.
     
  • Provide technical responses for MOD estate development and water/wastewater network growth. While analysing MOD site measurements to maximize legitimate water consumption and increase contract revenue.
     
  • Ensure MOD network flows and pressures meet firefighting requirements, identify root causes of issues, and implement cost-effective solutions. You’ll also ensure measurement accuracy and network performance through optimized water meter maintenance and repair plans.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

To succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have knowledge and appreciation of how water distribution and waste networks operate. Experience with analysing large amounts of data and the ability to distil key facts from complex graphical analysis is essential. Proven ability to work as a team player, demonstrating problem-solving and logical thinking skills to gain results, is required.

 

Knowledge and understanding of working in an environment where accuracy and reliability are essential is important.

 

A full UK Driving licence and IT literacy with competent use of Microsoft Office products are necessary. Experience of team working and managing expectations of multiple internal and external stakeholders is also expected.
