Reporting Insights and Analytics Expert

We’re looking for a Reporting, Insights and Analytics Expert role. The Data role is to make the most of our data and use our technology to provide robust data models for reporting and analytics purposes.

Within the role you will be driving automation and innovation in a varied and creative environment.

 

As part of the Reporting, Insights and Analytics Expert role you will provide and develop automated reporting, insight, and analytics to support the planning process within a field planning team.

You will support a range of analytical projects and assignments and play a key role in establishing a solid analytics platform across the business – ranging from the design, creation and implementation of automated dashboards, in BI tools such as Power BI, to build and develop insightful analysis to drive key business actions.

 

You will be seen as a technical expert and support in the technical upskill of the planning teams members in automation of reporting and systemising processes using the latest tools.

We are flexible in location: You can either be based at our Pride Park site where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options. The other option would be Severn Trent Centre, Coventry.  You’ll work within alongside our 280 strong Workforce Planning & Optimisation Team who all love what they do.

 In turn delighting our customers & making a real difference across our region.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Manage and design the development of Planning reporting and analytics, engaging with key stakeholders to understand and translate business needs/reporting requirements to solutions. 

 

  • Liaise with stakeholders to determine appropriate data sources and ensure access is formally agreed.  

 

  • Define and shape analytical/reporting requirements, delivering both tactical and strategic solutions. 

 

  • Overhaul and develop regular, automated reporting to provide insightful finger-on-the-pulse monitoring of key performance indicators and identify risks/opportunities. 

 

  • Lead the technical design and development of robust data models; identify interconnections to drive efficiency and alignment with other areas of the business. 

 

  • Assure that development meets requirements for scalability, performance and quality in line with agreed service level agreements. 

 

  • Develop and maintain planning capacity models and automation of data flows.
