Senior Design Manager - Modular

What do you get if you cross an award winning, innovative, water company and over 300 dedicated team members? Our Strategic Capital Programmes team of course!

AMP8, our next five-year regulatory period, will see us launch our biggest and most complex investment programme of almost £13bn, of which £6bn will be delivered through our capital programme.

This is almost 6x the size of our AMP7 capital programme and is an opportunity to drive real change in the assets are designed and delivered.

Our new Plug and Play approach has been set up with the aim of saving money and time through adopting standard designs and delivery approaches across this capital delivery portfolio.

This new business function will be responsible for identifying opportunities to make impactful savings and then designing and developing solutions to deliver on the opportunities they’ve found. The outcome will be different for each asset category but we expect to develop a range of product platforms which include a collection of common parts that can be connected in different ways and work together in standard arrangements.

Our primary focus vehicles for delivering our savings targets will be new product development / introduction, product enhancement and process improvements, most of which will be design-function led as part of the wider delivery team.

By working more efficiently and producing robust standardised solutions this modular design approach will help to combat the challenges of waste and water infrastructure, flooding and water quality.

Be a part of something bringing benefits to our communities, health outcomes and environment.

Our Plug & Play methodology will enable us to build smarter, faster, safer, greener, and more affordable projects.

It could be the biggest challenge of your career. If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you.

We are looking for a Senior Design Manager to work within our Plug & Play team to drive our ambitions and make them reality.
