Here at Severn Trent, our central Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team sits within the Finance Department and are responsible for providing risk assurance across the Severn Trent Group.  This high-profile team brings together executive-and Senior Management level risk owners to manage the entire scope of Group risks more effectively.

 

We are on the lookout to bring in a new ERM Reporting Lead who will be responsible for managing the formal reporting process for the business so that we can provide monthly Executive action updates, formal Board and Executive reports and external risk submissions within our Annual Report and Accounts which go to our investors and senior stakeholders.

 

You will work closely with other members of the ERM Team, The ERM Manager and the Head of Risk & Treasury to ensure that we are managing and reporting risks in line with our Corporate ERM Policy and Standards.

 

We also provide 2nd line assurance over our key controls and risk mitigation plans in place to ensure our ERM risks are being managed in line with the Company risk appetite. We believe that this role will give you a great insight into how the business operates, the various departments and the strategic outcomes that our business areas are striving to achieve.

This is a unique position at Severn Trent as you will play a leading role in many different elements which will ensure our risks are captured, assessed and mitigated.  As part of the Risk Management process, you will effectively lead our executive and board risk reporting cycle and ensure there is appropriate review and challenge on all updated submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and style.

 

Your Stakeholder Engagement will be key as you will need to influence key people, at all levels, to ensure all risk information, updates and actions are completed to time and standard and you will also be expected to challenge and work with Risk Owners to ensure reports contain the required information for the audience its being presented to.

You will work with key stakeholders to update the risk section of the ARA and Principal Risks and keep tabs on Emerging risks. You will also provide relevant data and insights to help assist the Enterprise Risk Manager to manage risk, and risk communication within our business.
