EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

Working as a Senior Payments Administrator at Severn Trent is a unique role, the role supports the processing and payment of employee expenses and company purchasing card transactions. Furthermore, you will monitor to ensure individual claims conform with the company expense and purchase card policies and external statutory guidelines e.g. HRMC. You will work alongside Expense Advisors and report directly into the Payment & Expenses Lead. The role has the potential to interact with all employees of the business to serve the best outcome possible.

 

Key accountabilities for the role are:

 

  • Ensure all claims are correctly authorised and in line with company policy and Inland Revenue guidelines
  • Identify system and process improvements on a continuous basis
  • Regular and ad-hoc reporting to support the businesses needs regarding the Concur Expenses system and management of purchasing card approvals and reallocations processes.
  • The ability to generate and interpret management information generated from reporting.
  • Manage the day-to-day relationship with purchasing card provider, including issuing of new cards, and deactivation of leaver cards.
  • Queries are professionally handled, logged and followed.
  • Provide coaching and education to expense claimants and managers to ensure that exceptions to the process are minimised.
  • To provide data and spend analysis to Procurement to enable to identification of cost reduction opportunities.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

   

We will be looking for you to be experienced in general accounting and administrative processes along with looking at the bigger picture. Knowledge of the Concur expense system and the ability to create ad-hoc reports in Cognos would be advantageous. As would the drive to create continuous improvements to existing processes.
