EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

Here at Severn Trent, we’re looking for a Senior SAP HR Software Engineer to come and play an integral role in the support and improvement of our SAP HR applications. Working under the supervision of a Team Manager, you’ll be expected to demonstrate advanced technical skills, strong interpersonal communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, secure environment.

 

In this role you’ll be instrumental in the implementation, governance, and support of our SAP HR systems, predominantly SAP SuccessFactors and SAP ECC HCM.  You will take a leadership role in configuration, testing, and launching applications that fulfil our business needs, while managing risk, workload, scope, and schedule. You will have active collaboration with both business and technical partners, end users, and other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality applications and continuous improvement.

 

Accountabilities will include:-

 

  • Actively participate in fulfilling all Customer Service Requests in a proactive manner.
  • Take a leadership role in investigating and resolving Incidents, ensuring they are dealt with within the SLA.
  • Document all changes, processes, and operating procedures for Procurement HR Applications and contribute these to our business repository.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis of all Problems and ensure their timely escalation if required.
  • Identify, arrange, and implement suitable solutions to Bugs/Problems within our applications landscape.
  • Gather business requirements and implement new configuration to deliver value and improve business processes.
  • Work collaboratively with other Technology teams to get to the root cause of issues and implement changes.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

In this role we’ll be looking for you to have experience of configuration and testing across SuccessFactors modules including Employee Central, Recruiting & Onboarding, Learning plus others.  Experience with BTP, specifically with IAS and IPS would be great, as would practical experience of working with SAP ECC HCM and SAP Portal.  If you’re able to demonstrate knowledge of working on the integration between SAP and other systems, that would make your application stand out.
