An exciting 12 month opportunity to join a fast paced, customer driven central support team based in Coventry has arisen. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Transport Operations Administrator to help manage a current fleet of over 4000 commercial vehicles including company cars and plant which are maintained and serviced inhouse at one of our seven transport workshops.

 

The Senior Transport Administer will be first point of contact for fleet queries for our employees and 3rd parties so fleet experience is essential to this role.

 

This is a great opportunity to step up into a senior support role, helping drive the team forward. We’re looking for the right kind of person who is enthusiastic, has a willingness to learn, a team player, process driven, customer focused and an informed decision maker. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines.

Your key accountabilities in helping us on our journey will be:  

 

As a Senior Transport Operations Administrator, you will enjoy a varied and fast paced role where you will add value to our stakeholders every day.

Some of these tasks include:

 

  • Support the team in training and development
  • Deputise for the manager when on leave or unavailable
  • Own complex enquiries and drive through to a resolution
  • Lead performance meetings to ensure action is taken
  • First point of contact for day-to-day queries
  • Senior Stakeholder management
  • Maintaining and updating internal asset management system
  • Leading key performance meetings with suppliers
  • Transport administration -
    • Recharging vehicle costs
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Workshop support including vehicle scheduling
    • Capital programme planning
    • Driver and O’Licence compliance audits
    • Carrying out tasks to ensure the vehicles remain legally compliant
    • Providing management information reporting monthly  
    • Data analysis to monitor and improve performance

You’ll have experience working in a busy fleet/transport administration environment and certainly be used to following processes and working with a high accuracy while working under pressure. The ability to manage internal / external customers and their expectations with a continued 5/5 service.

 

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills both internally and externally as well as analytical and driven in their decision making. We’re looking for a determined individual with an open attitude to change and innovation whilst also being a strong team player.
