EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

In this new exciting and high-profile role, as our Severn Trent Services Technology Lead you will be responsible for overseeing and leading all elements of Technology support provided to our Severn Trent Services business. This will involve the management of existing infrastructure, systems, and processes, as well as enabling future capabilities in line with business strategy through effective partnership with the Severn Trent Services leadership team.

 

You will ensure that operating systems, data, and infrastructure is available, performing, compliant, and secure.

 

The key areas of focus for this role are:

  • Oversee IT Operations, IT Security, and service performance, with a view to continuously improve.
  • Ensure alignment to Group policies, relating to cyber and data security, are adhered to.
  • Key understanding of Severn Trent Services, including its strategy, business activities, processes, priorities, and challenges.
  • Work as a member of the Severn Trent Services leadership team to represent Technology and understand both immediate and future Technology needs to support.
  • Effective budget management for day-to-day operations and delivery of new solutions.
  • Lead the Technology team to manage the relationship between Severn Trent Services and its technology support providers, ensuring availability, stability, and security of IT systems is maintained and that any service elements within contracts are adhered to.

We will be looking for you to have strong interpersonal, negotiating, influencing, and leadership skills and have experience in influencing senior leadership and gaining buy-in to technology strategy and direction.  We’d like you to have good knowledge of products, their architecture, usage, and value to Severn Trent as well as proven experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders – both internal and external and at all levels.
