Supplier Relationship Manager
Are you an experienced Commercial professional looking to expand your skills and experience?
Our purpose is taking care of life’s essentials, but we’re also big on making a difference, not just because we should but because we care.
Which is why we are investing over £2billion into construction projects over the next five years to improve the services we provide.
We are looking for a Supplier Relationships Manager based out any of our Capital hub in Coventry to join our Capital Commercial team.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As a Supplier Relationships Manager, you will lead the management and development of strategic suppliers. Your focus will be on performance improvement, shared learning, value management, resource coordination, and dispute resolution to ensure Severn Trent Water gets optimal value from the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
• Build Positive Relationships: Cultivate and maintain trusting relationships with our supply chain, understand their challenges and aspirations, and challenge poor performance.
• Strategic Thinking and Analysis: Analyse data and trends to advise Severn Trent Water and make informed decisions with the supply chain.
• Stakeholder Management: Support the Capital and Commercial team, engage with stakeholders, coordinate and chair supplier meetings, and contribute to strategic and executive meetings.
• Promote Severn Trent: Uphold our core values, provide a point of contact for supply chain concerns, and facilitate issue resolution.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in managing supply chains in a performance-based environment. You should have a drive and enthusiasm to support Severn Trent’s ambitious AMP8 portfolio, combining relationship-building skills, strategic thinking, analytical skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to work collaboratively to improve performance.
Additionally, you’ll have significant supplier management experience and a proven track record of working with senior-level stakeholders. You’ll need strong negotiation, relationship management, and dispute resolution skills, along with experience in delivering a programme of works. Familiarity with regulated businesses and the construction sector is essential.
As travel is required, you’ll also need to hold a full U.K licence.
The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We want people who show up and get involve. Those who are ready to be part of something bigger and who want to make a difference because they care. Is that you?
