This is an exciting time within our Transformation team, and in particular our Vision Programme.  We are currently replacing our end-to-end alarm management system across the whole of our network, both above and below ground. We’re currently in a discovery phase implementation due to start next year.  Therefore, we’re looking for you to bring your experience in deploying technology business change to operational teams, to help us deliver this massive upgrade into our business and ensure it’s a success.

 

A Work-Stream Manager within our business will manage our larger programmes of work, ensuring that they are delivery on time, as well as cost and quality.  You will oversee the governance and resource management of the programme to ensure that the scale is correct but also have some line management of direct reports who will help you deliver.

In this high-profile role, you’ll be directly responsible & accountable for delivery of large-scale business change, initially as part of our Vision programme.  We’ll look for you to adopt the pre-defined project life cycle in line with Programme Office (PMO) standards to ensure success.  We’ll look for you to actively engage with the Project Sponsors and effectively manage other stakeholders across the business during the project, communicating effectively on project deliverables to ensure they are well received by the users.  You’ll be ensuring that the project is successfully delivered, implemented and benefits realised.

 

As a senior professional on the programme, you’ll be looked on to advise the Work-Stream Boards, resolve issues and recommend corrective action as appropriate so that the project is sustained and implemented, working within the agreed decision-making process/project governance arrangements (agile / waterfall methodology). You’ll report progress, risk and issues to programme leadership and senior stakeholders to the defined standard.

 

Don’t worry, you won’t be the only person on this programme!  You’ll manage the work and priorities of the allocated Work-stream resources throughout the project lifecycle, defining their appropriate activities to ensure that the project delivers to quality, time and cost criteria.

 

You will report into the Programme Manager Lisa Reid.
