Contract Analyst

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

Working within our forward-thinking Procurement and Contract Management team based on-site at our Raynesway offices in Derby, you have the chance to join Severn Trent as a Contract Analyst.

 In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to liaise with suppliers, collate performance data, spot trends and correlations and forecasting across the contract. If you come from an analytical background, this may just be the opportunity for you.

Let’s talk about some of the key accountabilities of the position  

  • Supporting the contract management team to track and reconcile spend and understanding price/volume issues
  • Maintaining the early warning register and providing analysis
  • Tracking and producing management information reports for meetings with stakeholders on a weekly basis
  • Analysing data monthly against KPIs
  • Supporting the monthly valuation/reconciliation closure process including monitoring financial compliance and identifying and resolving areas of non-compliance with key stakeholders
  • Providing analytical support to the contract management team including validating data and costs, spotting errors and omissions, and keeping timely records

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

Whilst there are no formal qualifications required for you to do this role, having a curious mind and an eye for detail will go a long way.

 Ideally, we would like it if you have an aptitude for Microsoft Excel and be familiar with analysing and manipulating data – however, this is an opportunity for you to progress in a career procurement, so if have experience in delivering quality insight and management information and enjoy managing stakeholders with conflicting requirements, deadlines and priorities, this is the role for you.

 

Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
