Hello. We’re Severn Trent and we think water is wonderful. And we’re pretty keen on people, too.

24 hours a day, 365 (sometimes 366) days a year we serve 4.8 million households and business across the heart of the UK. Each cuppa drank, each toilet flushed is only possible because of the 7,000 brilliant team members working across our patch.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality. We know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our customers and the communities where they live.

If you want to do more because you care, we’d love to talk to you. There really is something for everyone here.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We have 2 opportunities for you to join us as a TMA (Traffic Management Act) Reactive Technician in Derby on either a 12 month fixed term contract or a permanent contract.

In this role, you’ll manage interactions with the Highways Authorities and our internal scheduling and job build teams, ensuring that the works that take place are delivered right, first time and keeping customers up to date with any changes such as if there work isn’t going ahead as planned.

You’ll record and monitor notices received by Highway Authorities, ensuring that the right team action the notices in time.

With legal service level agreements at the forefront of your mind, you’ll make sure that permit applications have been submitted and modified if requested to.

You’ll also run weekly performance reports for your senior stakeholders using SAP.

You'll be based in our modern Pride Park, Derby site where you’ll be able to park for free or get to with ease with loads of local travel options. Your working hours will be Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Someone with an administration background who has worked on Microsoft Excel to create pivot tables and organise data would be a great fit for these roles.

Your brilliant organisation skills, care, and passion for driving great interactions whilst maintaining high levels of customer service are exactly what we’re looking for. You’ll be able to plan your workload efficiently, multi-task and persevere when tasks appear difficult to overcome.

You’ll be working in a fast paced environment where you’ll need to adapt to new priorities as and when they come.

You’ll thrive on meeting deadlines and hitting service level agreements, so that we avoid facing fines and penalties.

This role is fundamental to our relationship with the Highway Authorities and integral to our total planning cycle so your stakeholder engagement, relationship building, and communication skills will be shining in this role. You’ll build great relationships with the Technicians in the wider team so that when you pass on actions from the Highways Authorities, these actions are implemented.

If you have knowledge of TMA regulations and legislation, that would be a bonus!

If you’ve used SAP before, that would be really handy otherwise you’ll be a quick learner who can pick systems up rapidly.

The right skills and experience are important. But if you have the right character, positivity and a caring attitude we want to talk to you, too.

We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities.
