In our Capital and Commercial business area, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Hydraulics Design Engineer to join our design Excellence team, supporting critical infrastructure and treatment design teams with Hydraulic design support.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Reporting to the Hydraulics Technical Lead, this role will provide hydraulic design support to various treatment and infrastructure programmes across Severn Trent Capital Programme.
You will complete hydraulic designs from feasibility through to detailed design, adhering to Severn Trent design standards within the design function.
You will develop junior engineers, drive innovation and support the Hydraulics Technical Lead in proving hydraulics support to the Capital design teams.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Ideally degree qualified in a relevant discipline, with experience in hydraulic research and the publication of technical papers, you will be a hydraulics technical expert with experience working on large programmes of capital works.
You will have experience in hydraulic design from feasibility through detailed design, construction and commissioning.
Ideally with some experience in utilities, and effective at integrating within a matrix organisation, you will be a technical expert in all things hydraulics including free surface flow hydraulic design, gravity and pump system hydraulic design and hydraulic modelling software such as Wanda, Hades, Synergi, Infoworks or Varisim.
