We are looking for a Traffic Management Specialist who is responsible for managing the Traffic Management Compliance for Mains Renewal to ensure regulatory and business needs are proactively managed and expectations of all parties are met. You’ll work closely with the Mains Renewal Programme Team and maintain a consistent standardised approach to Traffic Management application processes.

 

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

In this role you’ll build excellent relationships with all our key Highway Authority stakeholders, responding to their requirements and looking for future opportunities to enhance the relationships. Being proactive and looking at continuous improvement of processes is required.  You’ll manage and own Highway Authority issues and complaints that have not been resolved.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Providing process management of the Traffic Management Applications functions for Mains Renewals
  • Responsible for building and managing relationships with internal stakeholders such as Local Highway Authorities, National Highways, Scheduling Managers and internal stakeholders such as the STW TMA Team.
  • Ensure compliance within the team for all policies, procedures and standards whether Severn Trent, regulatory, statutory or legal obligations
  • Through tight management of TMA compliance and performance, ensure fixed penalty notices and Section 74 fines are kept to an absolute minimum, using lessons learnt to develop and support process and team improvement and future performance.
  • Attending daily conference calls and actioning any outstanding actions.
  • Manage TM issues and provide timely feedback to the teams and Scheduling Managers.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

The successful candidate will have a strong TMA process experience within a fast moving environment. Excellent track record of stakeholder engagement would be required. Understanding the costs of failure throughout the processes responsible for and proven skills in problem solving to find improvements that can improve the customer experience.  Full UK Driving License will be essential as this role will be travelling to different sites across a region.
