We have a fantastic opportunity available as a Performance and Commercial Support in the Waste Network team on part time basis (doing 20-25hours per week).  

The role sits within customer operations with the specific purpose of coordinating waste civil activities across a variety of work streams covering the whole ST/HD region. You’ll assist the delivery of the departments financial objectives liaising with key stakeholders to ensure monthly and yearly targets are tracked and met. Furthermore you will manage monthly cost transfers by ensuring all completed schemes have correct WBS and are allocated in the correct month.  

  

  

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW 

  

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be: 

 

  • Enable the team to manage the day-to-day operation through a variety of supporting functions  

  • Ensure all areas of the teams finance are recorded correctly and reallocated on a monthly basis  

  • Ensure no TMA fines are received through reporting and monitoring  

  • Be proactive in the way work is recorded, diagnosed and passed to supervisors for delivery  

  • Initiative to implement ideas on how to progress as a newly formed department  

  • Proactively manage and enhance both the internal and external relationships mainly Customer Operations, Technical Contract Services and Capital and Commercial Services to help build relationships and manage cost profiles  

  • Understanding of WNRT processes and how to develop them in to more sustainable ways of working  

  • Create SOP/LOP’s to record ways of working  

  • Assist the Team Manager with planning of minor capital schemes through third party liaison   

  • Capturing data and reporting against the departments key business plan targets preparing packs for senior management meetings  

  • Producing regular concise operational comm cell packs  

  • Assist in capturing data to formulate maintenance schedules for tools and equipment   

  • Have a real focus on Health Safety and Well Being to ensure that nobody gets hurt or made unwell by our activities  

  • Ensure compliance with all Highway Authority and NRSWA regulations.   

  • Constantly looking for improvements in the way that we operate by driving out waste and inefficiency through continuous improvement (using the SBF toolkit and Comm Cells).  

 

  

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

  The skills and experience required to be successful include:   

 

 

  • Great organisational skills  

  • Skilled in communicating with stakeholders at all levels; ensuring requirements are clear and understood  

  • Ability to deliver quality insight and management information from large volumes of data  

  • Able to manage numerous stakeholders with conflicting requirements, deadlines and priorities   

  • Sufficient in Excel  

  • Experience SAP User in relevant SAP modules, BW, Power BI, excel and other reporting tools would be desirable
