EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW  

 

We have an opportunity to join the Customer Operations Leakage department as a Senior Water Network Technician!

 

In this role, you will ensure the effective operation of the Distribution Network within a designated geographical area, adhering to all customer, regulatory, and company standards. Your proactive approach will focus on delivering right-first-time solutions and implementing initiatives aimed at improving ODI performance and the serviceability of the Distribution network.

 

You will take ownership of customer issues, building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This collaboration will facilitate the effective delivery of operational works while minimizing the impact on our customers and their communities. Your commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence will be key to your success in this role.

 

You will work closely with the greater Water Infrastructure Team to ensure all promoted work follows correct processes, utilizes cost-effective solutions, and is carried out safely. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the overall efficiency and reliability of our water distribution services. 

 

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE 

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working collaboratively with contract partners and stakeholders across a large geographical area. You will excel in building and developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, local authorities, non-infra teams, reactive and proactive network control, and asset optimization teams.

 

In this role, you will diagnose and solve problems proactively to deliver right-first-time solutions, therefore, having the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively will be crucial in achieving desirable outcomes. Seeking feedback and challenges, making tough decisions, and taking ownership of the consequences will be key aspects of your role.

 

Desirable skills and knowledge for this position include an understanding of Water Fittings Regulations, hydraulics and its impact on water quality and pipe integrity, and budget awareness with experience working within budgetary constraints. The ability to articulate and interpret technical information and specifications is also important. Self-motivation and a commitment to continual improvement are essential qualities we are looking for.
