Due to an exciting new programme which is going to see us deliver for our customers a full mains renewal across the UK over the next few years we are now on a significant recruitment drive to scale our teams to deliver this fantastic work.

We are looking for a Programme Manager to come in and manage multiple schemes, ensuring there is a robust and up to date plan in place for each one and able to keep the programme business lead updated with real time detail. This role is designed to manage the inception and delivery of multiple mains renewal schemes across 1 of 4 regions to ensure Severn Trent achieves its main renewal commitments. The role will report into the programme Business Lead, and will oversee a team of Assistant Programme Managers and
Project Co-Ordinators.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Accountable for managing the mains renewal programme delivering the end-to-end design & delivery against the Severn Trent mains renewal programme across the duration of an AMP.
- Accountable for ensuring mains relay are comprehensively planned, including cost, design and delivery within their region.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance and central documentation of all HSE Driven CDM requirements is in place and up to date.
- Line management responsibility for a team of Assistant Programme Managers and Project Co-Ordinators.
- Forecasting & reforecasting annual spend & delivery profile for the entire programme in their regions, with the freedom to direct action strategically should scope creep. Approving 1st Line assurance for the Assistant Programme Managers and Project Co-Ordinators.
- Autonomous and make decisions, directing their reports to take action as necessary to achieve objectives within their region based upon the delivery & cost profiles of the schemes in their region.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The successful candidate will have experience in managing multiple large-scale complex projects across a big geographical area. Managing multiple relationships and stakeholders internally and externally, this role will work with local authority and regulators, this is essential. Having worked within the utilities or water industry would be beneficial. Full UK Driving License will be required as this role will be travelling to different sites across a region.
