Maintenance Technician - Electrical

We have an exciting opportunity as a Maintenance Electrical Technician, you will be reliable for the operation and maintenance of electrical/automation assets which are key to ensuring treatment plants and water distribution processes are operating efficiently whilst maintaining quality outputs. The role is pivotal in assisting the Water Treatment team to meet tough local and companywide targets around quality, continuous supply, and safety and cost control.

In the role of Maintenance Technician you will be expected utilise electrical knowledge and skills to maintain electrical plant to optimise equipment reliability, maintainability and asset/process performance. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and automation across the area.


The successful candidate will participate in a stand-by rota with a fantastic reward in return. A company van, laptop and fuel card will be provided along with all safety clothing, tools and specialist equipment required to carry out the role.


Any additional technical training required will also be covered and great working hours too (Monday - Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3pm).




Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

•Maintaining industrial electrical equipment. Specifically, fault finding, installation and routine maintenance on the following industrial electrical equipment types:
•Motor Starters
•Variable Speed Drives
•Electrical control circuits (relays, contactors, timers etc.)

•Domestic electrical circuits (heating, lighting and plugs)
•Support the company’s drive to improve safety standards
•Responsible for ensuring all activities are performed in a safe and diligent manner to ensure regular feedback on issues arising before, during and following activities that are carried out

•Opportunity to train as an electrical Senior Authorised Person, LV (SAP)

•Willing to train for multiskilled instrument technician if not already qualified

•Experience with PLCs and ladder logic would be advantageous




As a Maintenance Technician, having NVQ level 3 or equivalent in related subject area would be advantageous and 18th Edition qualification. A full valid UK driving license is essential.
