We're looking for a dynamic Project Manager to take charge of our Waste Networks planned cleanse program and other performance improvement programs. If you're passionate about delivering top-notch service, solving problems, and driving environmental performance, this is the role for you!
We are hiring with a possibility to hire across the Birmingham and surrounding area, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire or Derbyshire. So if you are commutable to one of these locations that will be perfect.
EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
As our Lead Project Manager, you'll spearhead an effective and targeted program aimed at reducing ODI impact on the network. You'll work closely with key stakeholders both inside and outside the business to ensure minimal wastage and outstanding quality delivery. Your mission? To streamline processes, solve issues, and provide insightful program performance updates.
- Deliver Excellence: Provide a 10 out of 10 service for our customers every day.
- Full Project Ownership: From scoping to contractor management and root cause analysis, you'll own it all.
- Lead the Team: Guide the proactive planning team for smooth data input and future program planning.
- Environmental Focus: Ensure environmental and ODI performance drives all activities.
- Drive Efficiencies: Collaborate with stakeholders to reduce cleansing frequency without increasing ODI risk.
- Innovate: Identify sites for removal from the program and seek spend-to-save opportunities.
- Audit & Improve: Conduct site audits to ensure efficient delivery and up-to-date cleansing processes.
- Integrate: Work with the control centre to utilise monitor data for condition-based cleansing.
- Report: Provide insights to the leadership team for strategic decisions.
- Safety First: Ensure all work is carried out safely, complying with Health, Safety & wellbeing standards.
- Performance Management: Support our people with excellent performance management.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and embed change for sustained performance improvements.
- Budget Management: Handle budgets and expendature across the entire project.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Proven track record in managing and inspiring teams in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to manage and influence stakeholders through change.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong analytical, facilitation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to make prompt, clear decisions and adapt to new ideas.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and procedures.
- Experience in data analysis and interpreting results.
- Familiarity with work management and reporting systems.
- Fully aware of H&S, HR, NRSWA, Environmental, and QA policies and standards.
- A-Level or equivalent (e.g., HNC in relevant subject) - desirable.
- IOSH - desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence - required.
