WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 

 

  • An up to 6-week placement opportunity with our Water Operation teams.  
  • Placement duration can be tailored per individual circumstances and allowance of Grant resettlement time & annual leave allowances, so less or more than 6 weeks can be tailored.  
  • Placements available in Warwick area covering Coventry, Redditch, Rugby Stratford and Warwick.
  • Focus on ensuring effective operation of the distribution Network and the delivery of district metered areas including leakage reduction, pressure management and continuous improvements of our assets  
  • Mentorship from our Water Network Technicians, hands-on experience being part of a team that take ownership of network and customer issues. 
  • Employability Training via our State-of-the-art learning Academy to assist with interviews, building a great CV and future career prospects advice.  

 

WHAT YOU WILL GAIN  

 

  • In-depth understanding of Water Operations department, principles and practices.  
  • Valuable experience in protecting vulnerable parts of the network, preventing potential water quality and supply interruptions events and networking with key stakeholders.  
  • Opportunity to gain vital experience for future permanent roles within Severn Trent or externally.  
  • Placements begin from November 2024.  
  • We understand that every resettlement journey is unique, so we offer placements throughout the year.  

 

CRITERIA  

 

  • This is a very active role where 90% of the work will be outside, covering 10,000 steps or more so if you like working outdoors this if for you. We also ask that you have a keen willingness to learn and bring plenty of positivity and passion.
  •  As travel is required, you’ll also be need to hold a full U.K licence.  
  • Ability to utilise grant resettlement time or annual leave.
