EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our Waste Network department have a great opportunity for you to join us as our new Waste Network Regional Lead!
Your main focus as the Regional Lead is providing strategy input, drive and delivery of significant £ODI value across key customer metrics like C-Mex, sewer blockages, flooding and pollution response.
The successful candidate will be covering Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, with frequent travel to Derbyshire once a week. You’ll be responsible for leading a team and delivering the highest standards of output and exceeding commitments to customers.
Ensuring Health, Safety and Wellbeing of our employees and customers is our number one priority in the role. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the overall operating budget of circa 30m and establish great working relationships with all stakeholders.

Some of your other key accountabilities will include:
- Overall custodian of the assets within your area, leading teams, and contract partners in the effective and efficient operation of our assets to defined standards. Ensuring strong supervision, supplier and quality management capability is in place.
- Responsible for third party contractor relationships and performance. Driving achievement to our defined standards and targets. Ensuring the customers experience of Severn Trent is exceptional.
- Establish great working relationships with all stakeholders e.g., LLFA, EA, Councils, NGO’s and Highways Authorities.
- To drive and own the customer experience throughout our works, to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Ensure assurance work is undertaken to guarantee effectiveness of delivery.
- Protect and enhance the environment. Deliver EPA 4* metrics, prevent and reduce pollutions.
- Lead Waste incidents and events, quickly resolving issues and managing risks.
- Lead on improvement initiatives on behalf of Severn Trent. Lead and embed transformation and change.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
Proven experience in leading and achieving sustained performance improvements from a diverse workforce, indirect and direct would be beneficial. Furthermore previous success and passion for delivering and leading a strong customer, commercial and health & safety culture would be desirable. Having a track record of driving performance, developing talent, rewarding high performers, and addressing poor performance would be required along with a full UK driving licence.
